FESTIVAL DIRECTOR

Yala International Independent Film Festival is one of the big events of Nepal Independent
Films. The festival is an amalgamation of the films from all corners of the world and the
fragrance of Yala. YIIFF is fundamentally the umbrella under which the independent films of all
genres and lengths is celebrated annually. The core values and essence of Lalitpur has been tried
to place over the whole event, like a cherry on the top. Although it is the first chapter of YIIFF, I
hope that the attendees will be able to enjoy films and feel the vibrant traditions of Newa culture
alongside.
